Friday 21st January 2022

Good morning Alps class. Friday again, this week has gone quickly!

Here is the final day of home learning for this week.

English/Talk4Writing

I hope you enjoyed writing a speech bubble for the big bad wolf.

Here is a recording of how I delivered the lesson at school to demonstrate how we get the children to write a sentence.

Here are some examples of writing from school.

Today we are going to have a go at writing another speech bubble. This time we are going to be one of the little pigs. Can you think of something one of the pigs might say?  It could be “not by the hair on my chinny, chin, chin, I will not let you in”.
Remember I don’t want the children to just copy your writing. I would like them to Fred talk each word and then use the phonics we have covered to write it words.
It might look something like this: “not bigh th hairs on migh chini, chin, chin, igh wil not let yoo in”

Remember to use your sound mat and don’t forget those finger spaces.

Maths

Here is the presentation for today’s learning

At school we would follow this up practically using the suggested activities.
If you would like to continue your learning further here are some optional worksheets to support the learning.

Afternoon activities

Yoga

Story time.

Today we are going to listen another one of our class favourites written by Nick Ward - Don't eat the teacher!
